I have never been much of an admirer of the Dash 8 range of aircraft,I had always thought they were very noisy and rather ugly as well as being small and cramped inside. Not anymore!Last night I was up at Guernsey airport and saw a new British European Dash 8-Q400 arrivl from Birmingham. The sun was shining on the aircraft which made the aircraft looked absolutley beautiful. At first when it was coming in to land I could not figure out if it was a BAe 146 or a Dash 8,when the aircraft eventually landed it was the Dash 8-Q400,excellent this was the first time I had seen the aircraft at the airport,it was so quiet unlike other Dash versions (reduced noise levels inside matchthose of a CRJ)The main difference I noticed was the stretched fuselage of 6.83m which makes it look quite different to the other versions and also in my opinion more attractive.Increadibly a flight from Birmingham to Guernsey on this aircraft is near enough the same as that on a BAe 146.The aircraft has proovd popular with customers and so I believe many of the old BAe 146 rous are being changed to the Dash8-Q400.
Well done De Havilland on building such a good aircraft!

RE: Dash 8-Q400:My opinions
When I went on thwe Dash 8 of BWIA Tobago Express, I was very impressed by the aircraft. Not only was it quiet, but the amount of legroom was brill.

RE: Dash 8-Q400:My opinions
I have always liked the Dash 8 range. We get BE useing them on routes from Leeds to Belfast City and they’re a great little aircraft.
BA citi express also use them on routes into Newcastle.
I like the sound of the Dash 8, the way it looks, its capabilities and size…etc…
Great a/c
