Data plates, oh no not again!

Ok it’s not the big debate again,

Just wanted to try to identify the data plates shown in the pictures.

One is from a Spitfire Stamped

TYPE

SPITFIRE

SERIAL No

APP/6S/46141

the part No on the back is 30064/395

Second is from a Wellington Mk X

Stamped TYPE MK 10

Serial No VACH 21007
Also has the number stamps in the boxes, there is another from the same aircraft but the top half is badly pitted.

VACH is of course Vickers Armstrong CHESTER, and I think the 6S is Supermarine?

Just wondered what part of the aircraft they came from, and can the plates identify the aircraft serial?

Oh and dont worry I’m not planning to strap them to a bigger part and sell them on ebay!

Nothing in the collection is for sale.

Thanks.

Ant.
