wow….reality surpasses fiction. A death body on Thames Valley, and “rotten smell in palace”……this seems a John Le Carre book. Ideas guys….who did that?. Of course I don´t expect to be a regular crime.

Sorry, the poor man was definitly topped by the MIB-he was an educated man-so he should have picked a quicker, less painful method than the old wrist-slash and ,in my experience, suicidles go far away where they won’t be found, to carry out the act.
Probably the same assassins that did Diana……………
Was that my front door opening?

The real bad boy seems to be the Propaganda Minister, Mr. Campbell.
Having said that, the BBC reporter (Gilligan) was a bit careless. He gave an interview, in which he described how he met with his source (the time, and that he arrived by train). This was enough for a mole hunt to begin, and Dr. Kelly was then found by the Government. The leak however, was wrong…refer to the first paragraph!
I do not think Blair will be brought down over this, but his popularity is alarmingly low. He needs to sack Campbell ASAP – and start acting as a Prime Minister, not Emperor of the British Isles.

The UK media is already implying that Blair is insane, apparently there was an official denial of his insanity last week.
He has been extremely unpopular in the UK ever since the invasion of Iraq, and, unless he gives up the leadership of his party, then it is unlikely that Labour will win the next election.

Ofcourse, it has to be suicide. Probably, the last thing the Blair administration would do is to kill this man. This couldn’t have happened at a worst time for Blair and I wouldn’t be supprised if that would cost him his job. Eventually, the media, especially the BBC, will turn against Blair. Blair in person shouldn’t be held responsible for this man’s death though, there could have been, and there will probably be – other motives; nobody is going to kill himself because he think he’s right. I think the fault lies in both the UK Gov’t and the BBC. This Shakesperean tragedy could have been avoided.

I am not well informed about the circunstances of the event. Wasn´t it proved that the cause of his death hasn´t been natural?. In any case, too odd indeed.

Could be suicide – which would probably be the ‘easiest’ answer. Suspicious as it is already, if it proves to be a murder there is something rotten in that kingdom…
But since it’s the Thames Valley, i guess inspector Morse will solve it over a couple of beers, a not-unattractive middle aged widow, and a bit of listening to classical music.
