Hi all
Had a day away to a rather damp AMS yesterday care of JET2 from Manchester.
G-CELG both ways (damn!) load factors were low at about 50 pax each way at the most.
Missed TC-IEC Fokker 100 was in the mist!!!!
Attached are a few of the better pictures from the day
Hopefully enjoy
Chris

Thanks for the comments Chaps .
tenthije : to answer your question no didn’t get to the runways but hey ho maybe next time and next time i will hopefully have better weather.
Weather was a bit chilly when arriving Captain said was about 2 degrees but thank heavens for BK and coffee! and yes AMS is always a good place to visit seen as there were 2 SQ Mega Arks,2 All Nippon Cargo and a Korean Freighter in as well that i saw.

I seem to pick crappy weather days on day trips to AMS, I’m thankful for Burger King though for providing a nice hot meal in the terminal, not taking any chances this year and going in July and August, AMS is just soooo good though you can nearly forget the weather

BBJ gets my vote too. A real pain when you take a day trip and the weather is like that (i once flew GLA-LHR for a days spotting, and the place was shrouded in very thick fog, very spooky up on the Queens building, hearing everything, seeing nothing) Transitting thru AMS on the 24th and 26th of this month(4 hours each time)hopefully better weather than you got.

Shame about the weather. If it is a relieve, weather has been like this for over a month. Last weekend with good spotting weather (bar the carnaval weekend) was late january. I hope you did like it here. Don’t suppose you got round to the runways?
The 737-900 ended up nice, but the BBJ is best.
