Had a day off work today so thought I would go and test out my new camera that my Girlfriend got for me B’Day.
I really wish they would do somthing about the lighting in Hendon or at least loan Tripods. oh well here are some pics anyway.

i don’t think its the airfield that are making you wear hi vis stuff outside, i seen to recall its some sort of EU directive, that any outside work has to have hi vis stuff on. i think it came in a year or 2 ago, all of a sudden we had to wear hi vis stuff in work where as before it was never compulsory .

Ooooh!! Old Buck — Shabby Hut…. Don’t think they will like that…..
😉
I’m sure they wouldn’t – but OB is thankfully a yellow jacket free zone. 🙂

And don’t get me started on yellow jackets on airside on GA fields. Not a single recorded incident since WW2 of a pedestrian being run over by an aircraft that didn’t see him, yet increasing numbers of GA fields stipulate you MUST HAVE a yellow jacket to walk from their shabby hut to your aircraft. 😡

That last one is both poignant and disturbing

I know what you mean about the lights, but can they be clased as dim? 😉

Ollie
If you had logged onto the RAF Museum website, it says in the Opening Times and Admission Charges page:-
Personal photography and filming is permitted. Visitors with tripods should ask for a pass at the admissions desk in Milestones of Flight. Those with commercial requirements should visit the Commercial Photography section for details.
I would have thought that having the lights on ‘dim’ in the BoB hall would be more of a Health & Safety hazard than tripods.

Re tripods,
When i visited Hendon i also wished i had taken a tripod and noticed someone else with one and a tripod pass. So i emailed them and asked them how i get one and aparently all you have to do is go to reception and ask for one, they are free but they can only issue 4 a dau due to health and safety. Aparently though it is not often they issue more than 1 a day.
