The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby recently hosted a leg of the 2008 de Havilland Vintage Air Tour. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t as kind as it could have been, and although bright and sunny at East Kirkby, the gusting cross wind deterred a number of the participants from dropping in.
Many thanks to the Panton Family and museum staff for their kind hospitality at this very enjoyable event.

D H Tour at East Kirby
Martin, terrific photos which really pick up the evocative atmosphere that is unique to East Kirby – amplified by the wonderful sight of the live flying D H family of bi-planes.
The 2 shots of the moths and the pilots vigorous aileron imputs to combat a tricky x wind are both brilliant catches.
No doubt your groups visit to E.Kirby was warmly received by the genuine old fashioned friendship which the Pantons and colleagues always exude whenever you visit.
Thanks for sharing
