How is it that a young man can start a thread and then a mod can shut it down after he and others have ridiculed that person.
I think we could all see what substance was behind the posts but a polite note could have ended it.

It was getting beyond silly. No offence to the gentleman in question, but this is not a forum for idle flights of fancy.
I feel it is better to be honest than tactful in such a situation.
