In true Australian style, I slipped on a shirt, slopped on some suncream, and slapped on a hat earlier today before making my way to Popham where a de-Havilland & Vintage aircraft Fly-In was being staged. Entry was free and you are allowed as close to the aeroplanes as you wish, as long as you behave responsibly, obey any marshallers instructions and keep your eyes and ears open!
I hope the images are of interest.
18 images are included, beginning with the several Chipmunks that were seen arriving and departing throughout the day. The sun was in an awkward position for the take-off shots included in this report though…

A number of members of the Moth family were also present!

A couple of aeroplanes and their owners head for home….

Well done and Many Thanks to Dick Richardson and all the airfield team for staging the event, Popham again proves itself to be one of the most friendly airfields in the UK 🙂

Not my feet, I had shorts on so it would be hairy legs as well:)
I must have been chatting to PaulC just to left of shot at the time.
Obscurity retained!

Hi Stringbag,
I agree, it was an excellent day.
Some of your pictures look just like mine, in fact, the third picture down has my son’s pram handles in it, with my camera bag hanging from them!John
Had a look at the original and it is just your two nippers that were caught, are those feet underneath the chippie yours? 🙂

Carpetbagger,
I think I may have been talking to you at the time as well. Pic 3 has my car & society tent in background.

Great photos, looks lightly attended, by people?
