As long as there is a memorial, if that’s what the family want, but otherwise it is just bone and dust. They bury families on top of each other in some parts of France.

It can happen over here [UK] with the ‘Eighty year rule’ in England [don’t know about Wales and Scotland and NI ] the council can move your remains for re-using the grave if they so wish , on the premise no one knows or cares after that time , but its been done for years in Church yards , where the gravestones have been flattened to be used as paths , its not the same I know but the graves actual site has been hidden .
Perhaps we need a National site in the UK similar to Arlington in the US where old soldiers remains can remain at rest .
