I think the thing to remember is that this is quite a small and light aircraft. If it all goes to worms (structural failure apart) if can almost certainly me plopped down with minimal damage in any handy small field.

Getting out then would be no more difficult than from any one-door Piper.

Thanks Daz, not that I was planning to invest, I have more than enough problems without adding a syndicate to them.

Y11F – the T-51 Mustang and a “Spitfire 28” dual-control aircraft(!) were to be joined by a Bf109 replica from Germany (probably from my mate Chris Engelen – www.meck-ul.de).

Seeing these beasties together in one thread reminds me of the plan to form a syndicate to fly some of these around the show circuit. Anyone heard anymore on this????

I wondered that myself. I wonder if the Perspex windows aft of the canopy can be broken easily?

Does the passenger have to rely on the pilot being out of the way before they can get out of the aircraft? I’m thinking more in an emergency situation here than in normal operation.

The back of the pilot’s seat folds forward, like in a car. The passenger enters/exits with the hood in the normal open position.

It must be very ‘snug’ in that rear seat, and I am curious how the passenger gets in/out. Presumably, the hood must be in the forward position. If one needed to perform an emergency exit, that arrangement could be quite a challenge.
