Death by fire of a Avro Anson Mk.1 in Oz 1960's

WHAT A BLOODY WASTE!!!! 😡

I found these on the Net while Surfing for Oz stuff 😮 ,
(from link below)

Seem’s the same happened to quiet a few other old aircraft as well during the 1950’s and 60’s 🙁 .

Pitty they could not have just burnt mock up pretend plane’s  , instead of the real thing for fire practice.

O.k. maybe the Anson is not real popular warbird, BUT it was still a very important aircraft type for it’s day 🙂 , and got around far and wide 😉 .

It still get’s me a bit hot, when I see a bit of Aviation history destroyed in this way.

For some History on this plane, and not a bad site too, Visit Airways Museum/C.A.H.S.

http://www.airwaysmuseum.com/index.htm

But I guess they did not know any better back then  .

SAD 🙁 very sad 🙁 , for the old girl to just go that way.

I wonder what the right collector/collecter’s, would have paid and done with her had she survived   .

R.I.P. Anson 🙁

Very sad indeed Turbo(Chris).

I guess the forum member’s up north, are way too busy with their summer stuff and GREAT Airshow’s, both side’s of the pond.

I would still like to know if any forum member where Lucky/un lucky enough, to see this sort of thing happening to other Warbird’s back in them day’s.

WHAT A WASTE!
