Death of a dream? – the offending piece of Comet

If you want to get to this one, do so ASAP as it’s a “sub-window” not a proper link, and I don’t know how long it will be up for.

If you go to the BBC news home page http://news.bbc.co.uk/ to the right of the page under the yellow sports window there is an item entitled “In Pictures: The Science Museum’s hidden treasures revealed”.

Picture No 7 is a chunk of comet fuselage skin recovered from the Mediterranean – though it doesn’t say which one.

No doubt of interest to someone.

Very interesting, although it escapes me why he is wearing white gloves to handle the B&D Workmate, is it incase he gets his hands dirty 🙂

There was a feature on BBC London last night. The Science museum has around 100 store rooms under the main museum that the public cannot normally see. Some of these are to be opened to small groups by arrangement. I suppose they might have some on aviation. 🙂
