Defence Review just a **** up ???

I though I was imagining things yesterday when I saw a news report on the box .An MP from the defence committee was talking with the reporter and mention was made of the proposal to withdraw the Tornado.He would not commit either way as to if it was a yes or no.But more worrying he did say that if we had gone down a different route kept the Ark and a squadron of Harriers on board and mothballed the Tornado’s and their base we would actually save money !!!!!.

I did a double take on that and watched it again later to make sure I had not imagined it.He said it but I just cant get my head around it !!!!!

I dont think they really know what they are implimenting and what they are leaving this country with,I would suggest perhaps nothing but confused pilots looking for aeroplanes that on paper exist but in fact have been mothballed or scrapped by someone else who thought that was what was supposed to be happening.

Confusion reigns supreme !!!!!!!!!!

As usual S.N.A.F.U as our US cousins would say.

But havent we been here in th epast I recall someone saying we wont need manned aircraft anymore and we scrapped all sorts of project and went for missiles we never got war heads for etc,and ordered aircraft we never got in the end and it took years to recover.I think this time it may even be worse.

We need aircraft and resources at this time the Harriers are still needed in Afghanistan and other theaters and now things are blowing really hot in the Arab world what have we got to assist any militaryt support of the UN etc.basicaly NOT A LOT !!!!!!
