Defford Airfield Heritage Day 2014 Cockpits Sought for event.

The Defford Airfield Heritage Group’s annual event will take place on July 12th at Croome park near Worcester, this year it will be a one day event in preparation of the group’s museum opening in September full details here : http://deffordairfieldheritagegroup.wordpress.com/2014/05/27/raf-defford-museum-on-track-to-open-in-september/

We have the BBMF Dakota booked for the event this year and lots of vintage cars and some RAF vehicles, there will be displays about Defford and Radar in general, this year there will be a small display detailing the role played by Defford in helping with the D-Day landings. There will be other wartime displays and re-enactors. We hope to have the cockpit section of Ex Defford Canberra WK128 again this year, and there may be one more but this has yeat to be confirmed.

This is a great event and last year we had 3000 people through the gates, please check out the website for updates and if you are in the area please come and see us on the day. If you are Ex Defford or Pershore or have relatives that are, we would be very pleased to see you. There will be Ex Defford personnel on site on the day.
