This takes me back to the mid-1980s and a certain other Rapide!

it is ex G-AKPA under rebuild by Avspecs in NZ for Gerry Yagen in the USA. To quote Warren Denholm of Avspecs Ltd ‘The Rapide we have here was based in the USA and was found by Mr Yagen stored in a hanger on an airfield that had been absorbed into an industrial estate and lost it’s runway. Jerry bought the project which had not flown for 20 odd years and shipped it down to us for restoration’.

Delta Cubed lives!
Flashback indeed, Graham!
Shows how out of touch I am these days; didn’t know this was going on!
Which Rapide is this?
Looks like a good job, like the Prince of Wales feathers on the pax seat!
All the best, Happy nearly New Year

Certainly did….. but it looks as if they managed to get the colours wrong, despite the paint specs I provided them with!
