I have a buddy enroute from CDG to YYZ right now via AMS. He was to fly AF CDG-AMS then AC AMS-YYZ. However, something got delayed and he got transferred to NW from AMS to DTW, and NW from DTW to YYZ. He was supposed to arrive at 14:15, now it will be 22:22. Apparently they’ve lost one of his bags as well.
I’m interested to find out what happened.
Do you guys know what equipment NW has on those two routes?

I noticed a lot of delayed AMS flights into EDI today too.
Yep, KLM 1279 AMS-EDI was about 1.5 hours late..

There has been very bad weather yesterdaynight and and the weather was still bad for a good part of the morning. This may have affected flying as well.

I flew AMS-YYZ via DTW for 3 weeks ago. a330-300 to DTW, really nice plane by the way.
Could it be that he left from DTW at 2120 local and arrived in yyz at 22:22. When i flew that route for a few weeks ago, it was a319 in use. Coming in from Fort Lauderdale and continue its service to YYZ.

Since the wind is coming from the west, and all runways in belgium are headed to and from the west, the aircraft approach slower:). But because the wind isn’t constantly, the planes hop up and down slowly:). Was in Antwerp today, after my one hour bus journey I found out I didn’t have any batteries in my camera. Quite remote area so couldn’t go buy others. Arr.
But the windy conditions really make strange approaches, especially on GA aircraft.

I know several people who would kill to fly on a DC9!

I think I answered my own question. I believe it’s an A330 from AMS and I know it’s a DC9-50 (DOH!) to YYZ.
