Delays – Snow

It appears most major airports in Western Europe have been affected by some serious snowfall! Here’s a preview of the current BHX Arrivals board….

15:55 BA 1761 Frankfurt
Expected 22:30

18:30 KL 1431 Amsterdam
Expected 21:12

19:25 WW 1026 Belfast
Expected 23:00

20:25 BA 1763 Frankfurt
Cancelled

20:30 BA 1827 Edinburgh
Expected 21:20

20:50 BA 4174 Aberdeen
Expected 22:06

23:25 BA 1769 Frankfurt
Cancelled

😮 It’s bad people, especially if you had an onward connection or something.

Same story in DUB EI and LH flights cancelled yesterday and the mess is being cleared up today. The afternoon LH flight seemed to have a huge amount of bags missing. Its days like this that make me glad we dont handle the like of LH and BD the hoards of summer charters will be back soon and then Im in for it.

Most flights into Manchester still have 1-2 hours delay, the odd one has around a 10 hour delay, but that may not be due to weather.

Just come back from Belgium/Holland with Uni.

AMS was closed Thurs morning, + Rotterdam and Antwerp airports were severely affected in the mornings.

Been dreadful here this week.

Over a foot of snow at the airport, serious disruption.

Speaking of connecting flights, what do you do if you miss it? Do the airline put you on the next flight to that destination?
