Delta Aviation DH Dragon Rapide

Just got an e-mail from Delta Aviation advertising flights over Oxford in a Dragon Rapide – can’t find it on the aircraft page of the Delta Aviation website, does anyone know which Rapide it is and if they own it? Must say i’m tempted by a flight myself

I’ll go along with you on that Adrian. Sunshine, birdsong and the sight and sound of a Rapide for accompaniment – absolute heaven.

And I saw it over the Marston side of Oxford yesterday – very nice!

I was watching cricket in the Parks, the Rapide was trundling over and the scent of the mahonia blossom was so heavy I could FEEL it – hard to think of a better few minutes taken off work!

Anyone fancy a go in a real French classic?

Ahh. Any cuter and it’d be an Emeraude.

Apparently the CAP10s are being exclusively provided to Delta by Avions Aerobatic Ltd and the London Aerobatic Company.

Anyone fancy a go in a real French classic?

I guess someone on this site’ll recognise their photographic skills too! :dev2:

According to their website: http://www.deltaaviation.co.uk/experiences/pleasureflights/pleasure_flight_buy.htm
£99 to you guv. Or £189 if you take the missus!

Delta seem to be (forgive the pun) spreading their wings this year, as well as operating half a dozen Tiger Moths and the Rapide flights, they’re also offering aerobatic experiences in CAP10s out of Sywell!

If Mr Pilot is reading this, perhaps you would be kind enough to do a couple of circuits of the allotments at the north end of Port Meadow? Mine is about halfway down, inside row at the west end… It’ll make a nice break from the digging! 😀

*EDIT* And it’ll make a nice change from you distracting me with your Tiger Moths!

There’s a couple of pages which pretty much sum it all up – the timing is perfect for me to get a birthday flight if I can persuade the parents

Hi Kev,

I imagine it will be AGTM for the majority of the time as it is the better of the two in most respects.

I’ll let Will know you’ll be in touch, and hope you are feeling better soon.

Cheers,

Tom.

Tom.

Is it the lovely blue one which, I admit, I would willingly have stolen on my trip round the hangars if only I could have gotten it under my coat?

Could you let Will know I’ll get in touch with him next week. Not been too well recently.

Regards,
