A critical Dutch economical report on the JSF project has led to repurcussions in Denmark. According to the Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten, five Danish political parties now demand an independant economical investigation of the JSF project.
Officials of the Social Democratic party also comment that since Danish fighters rarely participate in international operations less resources ought to be spent on the purchase of new fighters in favour of combat helicopters. Combat helicopters are supposed to better suited to support ground troops in international operations.
My personal reflection after reading this article is -will a more pragmatic view and increasing cost awareness among Danish politicians mean bad news for the Danish commitment to the JSF? Any comments?
