There have been a few good movements at Southend recently. Unfortunately I’ve missed a couple (including a Yakutia 757 and a Hello A320), however I’ve got a few as well.
First a Ukraine International 737 arriving, probably for end of lease maintenance.

Very nice with winglets…

A couple of 146s, first a Brussels Airlines example:

And an Atlantic Airways one from Vagar in the Faroe Islands for maintenance. Shame it is not wearing their nice new livery.

And a former Brussels RJ85 departing to a remote Romanian airfield. presumably off to a new airline!

And of course, a couple more OLT Fokkers from Dresden and Saarbrucken, before the flights stop at the end of the week.

A nice low approach to Runway 24:

And finally the main event and best movement, a brand new Air Astana Embraer 190 passing through Southend on delivery, a couple of months later than intended. The sun decided to come out as well after the rain! Only the second Embraer 190 o have visited Southend.
On Stand 14 just prior to engine start:

And a couple of photos of it departing on quite a long take off roll to Aktubinsk, Kazakhstan. It is a very long way, and I was surprised the Embraer has the legs to do it direct.

Once again, I hope these are of interest!

Yes Hello went bust a couple of weeks ago, and the aircraft is at Southend for maintenance and storage on return to the lessor. I is parked on the new terminal stands owning to lack of space elsewhere as ATC Lasham are very busy at the moment.

I saw the “Hello” aircraft parked outside the terminal this afternoon when I drove past.
What’s the story with that ?, I thought they had packed up.

Thanks again Culpano, the Air Astana Embraer was a great catch even for Southend. Though the aircraft type was considerably rarer than the airline, Air Astana A320s and 757s have been commonplace at Southend for maintenance.

Crikey – Air Astana Embraer 😮 Manchester did get an A320 a while back. Great shots of it.

Thanks EGTC, and yes the unpredictable and interesting movemnts does make Southend a very interesting airport to frequent.
A couple, more from today, unfortunately taken early morning when conditions weren’t great.
The BBJ, N92SR which I have been chasing, conveniently parked at the end of the terminal stands:

And another arrival, a Rossiya A319 for maintenance.

Once again thanks for your compliments Alan!
I’m slowly closing in on what I have missed. Here;s a snap of the Hello Airbus I luckily caught (just) whilst it was being re-positioned to the new terminal stands:
