Deployments ?

Hi All,
Can anybody help with this please ? I was looking out the bedroom window which faces east between 05.00 and 05.15 this morning (Location:Leamington Spa- Warwickshire) I observed at least nine high altitude aircraft flying east. 1st flight of 5 contrails then a 2nd flight of 4 within the space of approximately 3mins.

The 1st flight were all spread pretty much evenly (Left to Right) with the 2nd more or less one after the other at the far left of my view point. I jut wondered if their was an exercise on or a deployment to Europe from the US/Canada ?
