DFC List??

Hi, Is there such a thing as a DFC list or directory which gives names and dates of DFC awards? Thanks in advance.

This is the entry in: The Distinguished Flying Cross And How It Was Won by Nick and Carol Carter.

JARVIS, Alfred John George. A/Flt. (110950). RAFVR. 408 (RCAF) Sqn.
London Gazette: 23.04.1943 / Page 1856.

This officer has completed 28 operational missions, including attacks on some of the most strongly defended targets in Germany and Northern France. He is an extremely efficient air gunner, and his fine work as squadron gunnery leader has contributed materially to the successes obtained. He has displayed courage, coolness and outstanding devotion to duty.

Kind regards, Malcolm.

Thanks for the replies, the chap I am trying to tie down is Alfred John George Jarvis, all the family are led to believe is that he served as a rear gunner on Halifaxes, his DFC is date 1943.

Do the books mentioned in previous posts cover all DFC awards for the Second World War?

There is also a two volume work by Savannah, “The Distinguished Flying Cross and how it was won 1918-1995”

Are you looking for something in particular?
