Evening all…
I have a much treasured ticket from my first ever flight with my much missed grandad and would welcome some comment as to the current status/fate of the aircraft in question. The date was June 11th 1978, the location was RAF Kenley and the type was a D.H.89a Rapide belonging to Southern Joyrides Limited. I did have a photo of me departing the aircraft in question but unfortunately I cannot seem to find it, but I could have sworn it was finished in all green… Anyway, doing some basic Google research has yielded the image linked below of a De Havilland DH.89A Dragon Rapide 6, registered G-AIDL, Southern Joyrides:

Was this the same DH.89a at Kenley that sunny day in 1978 or could it have been another example?
Ta in advance 🙂
