I am trying to find out which would be the best book available on the Comet airliner.
Ideally I would be looking for one which has a number of plans and scale drawings in it.
Can anyone out there suggest a book that would fit the bill ?
Thanks guys.

Thanks guys.
Any help is appreciated.
Its for my cousin out in the Far East who is planning to make a scale model.
I’ll pass on the info and when he builds it I’ll get him to e-mail me a few pics which I will post.
Fly.Buy – if you could copy that info it would be very helpful.
Thanks again.

Try sending a PM to “BRUCE”. The Director at the de Havilland Museum (Phillip Birtles) is the author of several such books. No doubt they have copies in the museum, but Bruce will be able to tell you more.

I seem to recollect that Air Britain published an excellent book, from memory its a large hardback with a picture of a Dan Air comet on the front (recent publication). Personally its the best Comet publication book I’ve seen and covers the history of every single comet made. I’ll try and dig out the ISBN number for you. I also have the May 1952 edition of the aeroplane magazine, the issue is dedicated to the first passenger flight of the comet and has a good cutaway drawing together with many details and pictures of the Comet, if interested Ill try to photocopy some pictures for you.
