Dear “Vampire experts” !
I know the information, that one DH-115 Vampire jet was registered in Brazil as PP-XUI.
I even saw a pair of short clips, where, as stated, PP-XUI is shown.
But I am looking for any “usual” photos/drawings/profiles of this PP-XUI (not movies), on which the “PP-XUI” registrations are visible clearly. Are such images exists ?
Wait for the answers.
Regards,
Flyer.

Yes, dear Dikas, I am thanked to Your friends too, for their tireless work to keep this beautiful bird in airworthiness and in attractive appearance.

Your words make me very happy, Flyer and Wieesso. However, to be fair, I have to share the honour with my friends Claudio del Fiol and Barth, respectively former owner (right seat)and pilot (left seat) of this particular Vampire, who made the video and the pictures possible.

DH Vampire – PP-XUI
Well, men !
Thank You all for Your participation in this thread !
And my SPECIAL THANKS are to Dikas for his post. It is real treasure !
I dreamed about this picture – or like this – over several years, since I have read about Vampire PP-XUI existence.
And… yes, I expected, of course, that this Vampire have the registration letters painted on it’s tails only.
It is great job, Dikas !!! You are hero !
And Your video is well-done thing. The look from the cockpit during low-altitude flight – it is breath-taking scene !
Thank You once again !
Best wishes to You all, 🙂

PP-XUI
Dear Flyer,
I have reviewed all my pictures, and the only one I have found showing the registration clearly is the one attached. There are no real registration no. on fuselage and or wings. Picture taken in October 2004 at SDTF
also in case you did not watch my clip about this airplane in Youtube:
(sorry, I am also not a professional camera man…:()

If I can be of further help, please let me know.

The very first flypast magazine I ever bought featured a lovely article on this airframe whilst owned by Ed Stead including a nice air to air pitcure in colour. Always wondered what happened to the airframe.

Wow, well done!

DH Vampire – PP-XUI
Dear Wieesso !
Thank You for the answer. Yes, I mean these videos.
In the cockpit the “PP-XUI” registration is seen clearly, of course. But it is not so interesting, as “on fuselage”, or “on tail”, or “on wing” registration’s places.
To find PP-XUI registration on this Vampire’s tail in those clips, it is need to take much trouble – the cameraman is not professional in aviation filming and airplane spotting.
But, due to some gimmicks, I have got the result ! This close-up picture takes only a split second in clip, so it is hard to “catch” the moment of scene’s stop.
