DH125/Dominie/BAe 125 in RAF service

With the imminent retirement of the VC10 from RAF service, and the retirement of the Canberra back in 2006 and the recent replacement of the Jetstream with the King air, I believe that the 125 is the only aircraft that can be considered to be derived from one of the great names of the British aviation industry – and I began to wonder how long this aircraft may survive in the RAF.

Obviously the Dominie variant has been retired in recent years, which I believe means that the only ones left are those flying with 32 Squadron.

Anyone know whether or not the powers that be are planning on replacing these aircraft?

I believe that these are based on the -700 model with the Garrettt engines – so they aren’t by any stretch of the imagination the original variants, but even accepting that they must be relatively old these days.
