Did anyone spot it?

One of the fellows at work reckons he saw a “Spit” low down(well below 1000′) in the Audlem-Whitchurch-Nantwich area of the Cheshire/Shropshire borders early one evening late last week(he’s in Audlem).

He’s not an aviation type,but is pretty certain it was a Spit because as it
turned he saw the wing planform and it also sounded “right”.

What really struck him as very odd was it’s colour.
He said it wasn’t cammo’d but seemed to be a lime-greenish/yellow
shade(primer?)overall.

Can anyone confirm eitherway at all please?
He’d love to know what he saw.
