The other thread has been quiet for quite a while so I thought I’d try again as the last few days in GD have been a bit depressing!;)

Thank you 🙂 It sure is a good Christmas present! Not to mention a couple of aeroplane models I’ve won on ebay over the past few days that I’ve been looking for, er, for years!! 😀
Criminal psychology is coming along well too, thankfully.
Now if I could just shift this cold in time for Xmas……!

Hi All,
My Physio telling me about a certain young chap called Joey Essex on I’m a celebrity (No I don’t watch that PISH!) anyway she explained how he couldn’t tell the time, just before she went I asked her to tell my wife what she had told me, to which my wife informed her he was dyslexic 😮 very funny I thought :highly_amused:

HUMBLED- and a positive smile.
At work today an elderly well dressed gentleman turned up and had just missed a train because his previous one arrived late.He explained he was going to a funeral. A colleague and i managed to get him a taxi to take him directly to the funeral.
He had travelled from Newhaven and was going to his ex regimental sergeant majors funeral in Thetford. When he realised what we had done to get him there he was on the verge of tears which really bought a lump to our throats as well.
What that Regimental Sergeant Major must have done to get such loyalty i don’t know.I was humbled and honoured for the both of them, R I P RSM and nothing but admiration for the gentleman who travelled all that way.

This letter did!
SIR – There has been considerable debate as to whether Royal Mail was sold off too cheaply. My recent experience suggests not. We received a card from Royal Mail informing us that we had to pay £1.50 to collect a letter which had been sent to us without the correct postage, which we duly paid. When it arrived, it turned out to be a quality survey from Royal Mail.

Yes indeed lucky, flying over some spectacular locations and a good way to start the week.
I visited the museum a couple of years ago and the Lancaster had flown west for some air displays a couple of days before we arrived – that said we were well looked after and went inside their B.25J, which was wearing a ‘City of Derby’ crest!
The 227 Squadron connections are also very special as they were based locally at RAF Balderton plus the crew also trained at RAF Langar and RAF Syerston here in Notts.

A YouTube link from a friend in Canada arrived the other day of a Lancaster flight that he made with his brother back in the summer and I’ve just re-run it again!
It’s dedicated to his late father and his Lancaster crew on 227 Squadron and as it said in the covering email – “turn up the volume and enjoy!” 🙂
