Did anyone see the footage of Bush at the Normandy Cemetery yesterday?
If so, were you appalled like me at the way he marched between the ranks of crosses without taking a single glance at a cross of his countrymen who died so he could be President today? To me this was a glaring example of disrespect, one now wonders whether he would show the same disrespect to victims of ‘the war against terror’ in his name.

I fear he may be too dangerous already. His father was twice the man he’ll ever be. I have become increasingly concerned about President Bush’s role as ‘world leader’ in the ‘war against terror’ as I don’t think he is the right person for that role. I know I am an outsider, a European and a Brit to boot but I don’t think he acted as the world might have expected on September 11th or in its aftermath. I know a nation needs a leader but when chaos visited the USA with all the other threats and rumours prevalent on the day, if I was an American I wouldn’t have expected my President to hide away but to face the dangers with me. I know President Clinton had a problem keeping his trousers fastened but I firmly believe he would have made his presence felt in the aftermath of this tragedy. America had one President on September 11th and that man was Rudy Giuliani! The American public, the firefighters, police, national guard all rallied round in any way they could and all were heroes, and heroes deserve a better man to lead them.
Just as an aside, I also find the way he speaks in public a little disconcerting, the way he says a few words and then pauses. It’s almost as if someone were whispering in his ear, telling him what to say….
I mean no disrespect to the American public or the military, I just believe they deserve a better leader.

Well, thanks to his “daddy” he was safe during the Vietnam War, patrolling the Texas/Mexican border, and now this “very brave man” is ordering others to fight ( and die). He showed how brave he was on September 11, when he flew as far away from the impact places as he could in his Airforce one. I wonder if he know that the events in France took place in the night of june 5 and 6 in 1944. I doubt it. Strange man, that president. I hope he won’t become too dangerous, or is he already!
