A duck’s quack does echo, but it does so at a frequency that humans simply cannot hear.

On a more interesting note:
Maize, Rice and wheat (which feed the majority of the world), are all types of over-grown grass.

I have some more random facts:

Mexico City sinks about 10 inches each year
One cannot fold a piece of paer more than 7 times.
An ant can survive for up to a fortnight underwater
and a topical one a typical 747 uses 4,000 gallons of fuel just for take-off.
