Diego Garcia's MSPRON.

Hey guys, I just have a quick question regarding the MSPRON stationed in Diego Garcia. Each time Saddam Hussein made a threatening move toward Kuwait or any other country in the Middle East after 1990, these cargo ships were immediately deployed to the area to deliver equipment to allow Marines to fight for a certain period of time.
However, the information I am looking for, I have been unable to find thus far. I am wondering how long it would take this squadron, from the time of receiving the deployment order to the time of arrival, to sail to the Persian Gulf, more precisely Saudi Arabia or the UAE.
Thanks a bunch and any and all who might be able to assist! Cheers!

MPSRON TWO is usually on a 24 hour alert, their ships run between 17 and 24 knots, given an unopposed entry it would take them between five and seven days.

Thanks for the info! I thought that was about how long it would take to make the trip but I wasn’t sure. I found a website for this unit but strangely, it was no longer active. Cheers!
