Does anybody know of some good quality digital sound files of Warbirds?
I bought a “Aero sounds” CD some years ago, it’s good but I’m looking for a bit more variety= start up and taxi as well as flypasts etc. Any of you good people out there know of a company/person with some good quality recordings? 🙂

Thanks Mr T,
“Black 6” was a fantastic machine and with a distinctive sound to.
I remember catching her at Duxford on a number of occasions. Truly unique.
Thanks for the recommendation.

Try this company:

I can recommend ‘Checkflight Gustav’, digital recording of Bf109 G-2 ‘Black 6’ made at Duxford in the early 90s (I was actually there during one of the recording sessions – absolutely stunning, never to be repeated!), includes start up, taxi, take off, fly-by, etc., etc. and a separate in-cockpit recording from start up, take-off and landing.
