Thanks everybody for your responses. Just my luck, it must be the only one I haven’t seen yet. Must get the video set ready. As asked by Eric Mc, does anybody know if the series is commercially available on DVD?

(I don’t have Discovery Wings).

the victor and buccanner one is the best ive seen. the gannet one inspired me to post a thread about them… :rolleyes: .. i hope they make one about the scimitar….that would be interesting..

Only the one series made. I was lucky enough to have helped on the Gladiator episode and was sent the series on DVD as a thank you.

I concur – Gannet/Shackleton is the only one I know of missing from that list.

p.s. I thought it was a great series. But, where were the Shacks and their 42 years of FRONT LINE service??? (wimper, tears, sniff)

There is an episode that includes the Shackleton…. in fact, is it not paired with the Gannet?

I normally have a couple of CBA stored in Sky+ but I haven’t seen the Gannet one myself yet, I will keep a lookout for it.

I found the VC10 one very evocative as they are still in frontline RAF service, and obviously extremely well-loved by the Ground and Aircrews

Just keep watching. Discovery Wings is on a continous loop, so it won’t be long before its on again. 😀
