Saturday 21st July was an interesting day at Norwich …..
Keith 🙂
First to arrive was the AeroGal 757 from Southend for Air Livery to transform into Jet2 colour scheme … G-LSAN formerly HC-CIY

Then the regular Thomson charter flight … but with extra logos ? what is this all about ?? G-TAWC

Followed by an interesting visitor with floats ( yes should be in general aviation ! )
G-DRAM

Finaly this Robin declared an emergency and diverted in with the oil filler cover flapping in the breeze … all ended happily ! PH-SVN

A couple more from the day, localy based ‘yellow helos’ doing their thing in the setting sun …. an excuse to try my newly purchased photobucket pro account …. does it mess up the photos as the free account seemed to ?????

Hi Kev and Moggy ! Yes that aspect of the registration was discussed at length ‘on the fence ‘ at Norwich Saturday morning and many many alternative names for the airframe were proposed …. none of which will be published here !!
Oh OK then …. what about …. bog standard 757 !

…the registration LSAN when pronounced L-SAN sounds awfully like Elsan

Good spot Kev!

Was there a young couple in the floatplane?
Nice pictures all around but I wonder whether someone in Jet2 has a sense of humour as the registration LSAN when pronounced L-SAN sounds awfully like Elsan which was a World War Two chemical toilet fitted in many RAF bomber aircraft.

Yes indeed. Whereas my situation was the actual oil cap haha. 😀

Thank you EGTC ! I rather assume the ‘flap’ is just a cover for access to the actual oil level dip stick / oil filler cap area ??

Nice shots. Good catch with the floatplane 🙂
Nice shot of the cap open too! I remember a C150 I used to fly, the actual oil cap used to come open inflight with the engine vibration!
