The Mod is shortly to re-tender the 748 at Boscombe Down . Supposedly they failed to even reach their £50,000 reserve price!
At a time when an Andover in Belgium was dispatched to a fire school and a number of former Emerald 748’s sit unloved at Coventry are they the only people on planet earth who think a Series 1 748 is worth a lot of money?
Surely by speaking to some of the well established museums we could have a 748 preserved in the U.K instead of trying to ramp up the price out of the hands of preservationists!

Albert you misunderstand me…I was replying to people who do not think they get VFM from the services. I do not wish to see this aircraft scrapped….I justdo not think that people realise what this test bed and her sisters at the old establishments have done for defence in this country

I think they should try to get as much for it as they can, the poor British tax payer gets screwed over enough as it is….
