RE: Do BA operate the A320 and 757 at LGW?
Most of the BA 757 fleet is being withdrawn anyway – 34 have been sold to DHL. The 757 fleet was always based at LHR. Same goes for the A320 – Though the ten ex B.Cal machines were based at LGW for a short period just after B.Cal was taken over by BA. They were soon based at LHR though. New aircraft, such as the A319, are based at LHR and are gradually replacing the diminishing 757 fleet.
As said above, Gatwick is losing the RJ100’s to BHX and MAN, and they will be part of the new BA Citiexpress. Gatwick will still have quite a few 737’s based though.

You are right BA don’t operate any A320s or 757s at Gatwick. They are also altering their fleet positioning and are taking all A319s form Gatwick as well and replacing them with 737s, the intention is to simply operate 737s and 777s at Gatwick. Also they are sending their CitiExpress Avro RJ100s to “regional” airports such as Birmingham and Manchester and calling back some 737’s to London.
