Do you have a "mix" of your genre of music?

This is quite something, which, especially in the young people of today, is very rare. So do you actually mix your genres when it comes to listening to music? If so, then which ones. I certainly do, I have rock, pop, indie, country, latino, soul, vocal and Jazz.

Examples: my chemical romance, Kelly Clarkson, the wombats, Dolly Parton, Shakira, Duffy, Micheal Bublé and Peggy Lee.

Hmmm. That sounds like a logical explanation. My apologies, you’re obviously not as daft as I thought.( You see that ? Women do admit to being wrong occasionally. )

This remark will have you thrown out of the sisterhood!
I’ve had my excellent moments of thickdom! The car alarm was my best, but that’s another tale for another day.

Well duh ! Couldn’t you just have left the BOOTS in the bath for 2 hours without you in them then turned them upside down and seen if any water came out ? If I’d been that daft I’d keep quiet about it,but of course being female I never have. Thanks for the laugh anyway.

No, I also wanted to see if they made my feet sweat whilst the boots couldn’t ventilate in the normal way. Which they didn’t, the inner liner acted as a wick…which was new fangled technology in those days. They cost over £150 in 1981, that was about 250 pints of beer in those days. A LOT of money. In today’s terms, 250 pints would be £825. I’ve never paid that for a car!

Another stupid record involving water was when I sat on the end of a bath for two hours, with my new Boots in 5 inches of water. They were supposed to be 100% waterproof, so before I used them in anger in the cold wet grass in Denmark, I tried them out in the comfort of home. They were indeed waterproof………and, I never did get to Denmark!

SM, I think that BumbleBee was referring to me, as I have the post immediately above. And in answer to your question BumbleBee, ‘fraid not. As for Quality Street, I go for the toffee pennies first, and then the green triangles.

Two HOURS in the bath ?Didn’t that make you as wrinkked as a prune ? Oh, and who’s Jimmy Young ?

My record for a bath soak is 7 hours. A whole Saturday. I read the Weekend FT from front to back as part of my studies. I did get out occasionally, for cups of tea and the obvious.
Just keep topping up the watter, letting a bit out every now and then.

LoL. Getaoudda here BB LoL.
As if you don’t know who JY was. 38 years on the rack and 3 score years and one. Even “pop” music of the 50’s was played by JY.

I also happen to be 17, and wouldn’t even think about Heavy Metal, as I have no wish to inflict perforated eardrums on myself.

Been there ,done that, with above result. :(Still a huge fan of realy heavy:diablo: metal.

Classical and Jazz

I have a mix of classical music and jazz music on my MP3: I can be listening to the Dubois Organ Toccata in Gminor, and then I can move on to some Stan Getz, perhaps his Desafinado, and then off to a piece of Mozart. I even have the complete Der Ring des Nibelungen by Wagner on CD, but that would take up too much MP3 space. I also happen to be 17, and wouldn’t even think about Heavy Metal, as I have no wish to inflict perforated eardrums on myself.
