Hi All,
Trumper and Davidisby,
Many thanks for the videos excellent gents..:eagerness: A big thumbs up to the Doc team from all involved from the bottom to the top and a project that deserves much praise from all us aviation enthusiasts………..
Does this mean once Doc is flying that you lucky people across the pond now have the prospect of not only having the only two airworthy B-29’s flying together but the slim chance of a massed bomber stream with B-17’s/B-24 and the Canadian Lancaster plus other lighter bombers A-24/A-26/B-25/Mosquito/Harpoon/Ventura if wanted at a single air-show in the very near future ?

If only Kee Bird had made it then may have been 3, all flying together would have been a hell of a sight

I can’t begin to imagine the work that went into this (or the 2 Lancasters, can’t forget those).
Or for that matter, the 10 (+ or -) B-17s or 2 Liberators…both only slightly older, and therefore presumably less complex than the Lancaster.
Unlike the B-29, at least the Lancaster has more easily supportable (in terms of numbers still flying, albeit of different marks) engines.
I dare say the B-29 is the most complex warbird flying…with the exception of the Vulcan.

Watched it live and a real credit to the team
#2 Engine seemed very reluctant but eventually behaved itself.

This is thrilling. I would love to see 2 B-29’s in formation. I can’t begin to imagine the work that went into this (or the 2 Lancasters, can’t forget those).
Canuckistan, Tom.

The thought of two flying B29s is almost as exciting as the thought of two Lancasters! Now if the Canuckistanis can do it…
