Just on the off chance that someone here may know him. John was a good friend of mine but we lost touch after he moved a year or so ago. He is a big aviation history buff and so I figure he may have made an appearance here on the forum at some point (although I can’t find any evidence of that). He used to use the online handle ‘Simba’ when flying online flight sims such as Warbirds, Dawn of aces and IL2. Just a shot in the dark.

Thanks for the reply Newforrest. The John Evans I am looking for is definately from the Bristol area. I would put him in his 50’s.

Not an uncommon name 😀 Knew a John Evans from the Southampton area about fifteen years ago, also an aviation historian aged about 50, unmarried, any use?
