Blenheim
this is the one I have on one of my ships….

I am pretty sure it is Blenheim now as it matches the one in the Dux aircraft. It is interesting how it fits a diagonal cockpit tube (near eyebrow/windscreen) so it would need to be ‘skewed’ to allow the pilot to view it and see a ring not an ellipse.
I need to ration myself on Ebay lol!!!!

cannot chase everything sadly!

Probably not Curtiss. I found the ‘bead’ at BK877 and it is a screw in fitting. Nearly bid on that to. What you needed was a super rare Gyro gun sight head, can’t believe you missed it!

Tony the Stuka Air Inlet I had- was stamped – 87 XXXX and not R8-87. Perhaps because it was made by Weser rather than Junkers.

Cheers…..I dont think its any of those….it is on a ring gun sight I bought. Which is ‘skewed’ to allow for perpendicular viewing. It looks like the Blenheim sight to me. Not sure why the part number woiuld start with 87!

p-40 and some later B-25s

87- and 75- are Curtiss P-40 part numbers. The drawings started on the Curtiss Hawk 75(hence 75-) and the warhawk(type 87) had the altered drawings numbered 87-. Parts that did not change retained the 75- part number.
