I had heard it could be in late May, but was wondering if anyone has any more news.

It was on the BBMF Facebook page last week I think that the flight will be in 4 to 5 weeks time due to issues with the tanks.

FB, fireproofing of the tanks was mentioned during the telephone conversation earlier today.

It’s to do with fireproofing of the tanks. A knock on from an MAA requirement post the fire last year. It didn’t go completely to plan so is being done again. The tanks were still out 10 days ago when I was last there.

Earlier today NAM was advised that the Lancaster flypast that was scheduled for Sunday 19th June has changed to the BBMF Dakota; with a comment that PA474 is unlikely to be flying by that date.
Sure I read somewhere that were issues with one or more fuel cells, hence a slight delay in flying

I think PA474 is booked for the Chalke Valley History show. That may give a ‘by’ date idea.
