Good morning
Does anyone know of where I could obtain a reproduction hurricane instrument panel (minus instruments and BFP)?
Thanks

Does anyone here have a drawing for a Hurricane fuselage I could get a copy of please? I’m currently building a quarter scale r/c one, and it would be useful for that, but I want to do a full size panel. I have a spit panel, but the Hurri is my favourite aircraft. Thanks, Ed

The Cambridge bomber and fighter society has a spare panel on their website

well i think a good place to start would be to get some pilots notes, for different marks of hurricane and work from there.

Make your own? Its not that difficult – even ’rounding’ the edges, provided you use soft enuff ally. Just bump up gauge for stiffness. I do P51 start panels that way. I will be doing my Whirly panel that way

Now I am even more confused. It looks like every single panel has a number of hard to find or ridiculously expensive instruments in it!
What I am trying to do is build a nice panel around my flat topped blind flying panel – are there any other options out there?! I am not entirely sure which aircraft were fitted with the flat BFP rather than the curved top variant?
Cheers

Hi Sam,
I didnt realise it came with all the instruments, so that makes more sense on the price of course.
As I know, its getting harder and more expensive to fill panels these days. It also takes research to get the correct instruments as there are different Mk’s of instruments and slight variation in Mk’s of aircraft and their panels.
If you are not fitting the panel into a cockpit, then the flat panels are perfectly good as well.
You have had some really nice items for sale, and in the past I have bought from you, I hope to again in the future.
As I said , not trying to upset anyone just adding my (limited) Hurricane knowledge into the mix.
All the best.
Ant.

hi there, the hurricane panel shown is an exact copy of one purchased some years ago now at tangmere aerojumble and lance has just copied it, admittantly yes, i dont think the triple brake was mounted on the panel, and that should be where the automatic boost control button should be, and again yes the edges are flat and not curved, but to do this, and reproduce it accurately many times would be quite hard, so we choose not to, and it doesnt really detract from the look, and for what people want its ok. as for the corkeaero website, you can see it is quite old and outdated and lance doenst use that anymore, so therefore the prices are outdated, and if you could get replica hurricane panels with all the instruments/switches in for £995, id like to hear from you! regards S Corke

The Spitfire replica instrument panels complete at £695 seem to be pitched at a good price. Interesting web site for sourcing old parts.

Hi , not wishing to upset anyone,
The Hurricane panel shown is a flat panel, the original Hurricane panels have the inner edges turned in, also some of the holes and instruments are not correct. These are listed on the Corke site at £995!
So, I would just make sure this is what you want at a price you think is fair.
Hope this is of some help.

Seller is Lance Corke (or his Son, Sam). He used to make replica panels, so worth dropping him a line.
