Dominies To Humberside

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the two Dominies that are flying in to Humberside today from Kemble.

A quick trawl through G-INFO confirms no UK civilian Srs.2’s

They were given US registrations to fly to Kemble

Spares…only certain things like maybe engine would be similar toe the HS.125 Srs.1 & 3 so I doubt if there is much call for parts.

American registration? If they are instruction airframes were they on a one flight permit?

NAM has XS726 fairly well covered – I gather some electrics have been run this week (according to the Twitter feed); I was more thinking of RWSSCARB’s own requirements! 😉

Well caught – did you manage to get any contact for any spares? 😉

Go on the DSA website, loads on there.. Nice J41s 🙂 .

Your post is the first information I’ve seen about any possible timings – a flypast as suggested would be nice, but I’m not aware of any such plans.

Perhaps I ought to call NAM and enquire if they’re towing #XS726 outside! 😮

Sounds like today is the day again (weather permitting) 11.15 and second one around 3.15 (give or take the odd minute of 10!) How cool for a flyby of Cranwell or NAM on the way . . or even my house now i’ve made it home!! 🙂

The road runner may have been a Hunter travelling between Boscombe and Scampton – no further reports of Dominie delivery flights as yet; mistyar66 you may still get back in time from up-north!

A quick question / thought!

Despite the chatter about ‘one off flights’ might these airframes be moving by road?

Dark coloured fuselage, followed by second lorry with dark coloured wings reported heading north on the A46 past Newark in the last 45 minutes!

They’ve been mentioned on a couple of other fora, perhaps heading to this Academy … http://www.northlincs.gov.uk/your-council/about-your-council/news/latest-news/new-training-academy-to-be-built-at-humberside-airport/
