Read somewhere that some moron has been jailed for shining a ‘flashlight’ (newspaper’s description) at a police helicopter one dark night.
Only by reading further do you find out that the torch was several million candlepower!
May he languish in prison. Perhaps he might improve his mind, if that is possible.

Light lasers being shone at aircraft and into cockpits is not an uncommon problem, unfortunately.
