Dorsal fin intakes and stealth

it seems nearly every new stealthy UAV is using dorsal intakes

but also manned designs too such as the Bird of Prey and proposed ones like Iran’s stealth model at a parade

are they considered stealthier than side intakes (ala F-22, J-20) or front intakes (X-32), and under fuesalage ones (Pak-Fa)?
what are the disadvantages?
