Doug Arnold (WGB)

I was hoping someone here might remember exactly when Doug Arnold (Warbirds of Great Britain) passed away. Thanks 🙂

P.S. – Does anyone recall exactly when the OFMC was established?

Can anyone recall in what order the OFMC obtained their various aircraft? There’s no info to that affect on their website. I figure the P-51D first, then the Spitfire…?

Re Date OFMC founded

According to their website ,the OFMC was founded in 1981.
Hope this helps,I think they already owned the P.51D although I don’t think it was airworthy at this time. The first time I saw the P.51 was at the fighter meet in 84 I think,I seem to recall Mark and John Watts flying MH434 and ML417 in two ship sequences,

Doug passed away in the first 2 weeks of November 1992, according to Flypast’s news section of the February 1993 edition.
