Douglas Bader

I have a non Warbird twin engine beechcraft that was OWNED and SIGNED by Douglas Bader, with most of his logs. Can anyone tell me if it has any historical value or if they know of anyone that would be interested in it? p514hdm@aol.com

Funnily enough, a tobacco tin was just about the only item found in a certain French field not so very long ago……!!! :diablo:

Don’t tell Kenneth Williams!:diablo:

I was going to suggest rough shag…..

But then again perhaps not.

Seriously though, in later life wasn’t he a non smoker who just continued to hold the pipe to keep his hands occupied. Think I heard a historian mention this once.

Whatever the corner newsagent in Birkenhead had in stock I’d guess.

RE: Douglas Bader

1959 Twin Beechcraft with only part of the log books. It only has 2400 hours on the airframe and has been hangered for many years, very dusty, but with little work would be very airworthy. It also needs paint and interior.

RE: Douglas Bader

Interesting question ! I am sure that it does have a slighty higher value than a comparable machine . It would be interesting to know some more about her presnt condition and how much flying Bader did with her.
