I found some bits about it on the net that it’s in the UK 🙂 , Was it being restored to fly  , Or has it already become yet another static display  , Something funny I found was D.B. putting ping pong balls in his legs, Thinking he would float if shot down in water, The balls would pop when at a certain altitude and D.B. would think he was under attack :p , I cannot find any but does anybody have any pics of D.B. here in Oz on his 1959 visit? , Cheers Chaps 😀 , Tally Ho! 😉 Phil. :diablo: (p.s. a little shot of D.B. getting in his Spit 😎 )

Later uprated to Gemini 7 standard.
Assembled by Wolverhampton Aviation as con number WAL/C/1003.

Beech Travel Air 95 G-APUB was re-registered N262OU in September 1981.
And as this pic was taken at GLA on 11 October 1981, maybe it was on a westbound delivery flight?

This shows the Gemini that he had first, from “Reach for the Sky” by Paul Brickhill, 1954 Edition, facing page 353.

Do you mean by any chance his former Beech Travelair G-APUB which he was given by Shell on his retirement from the company ? He flew her for a number
of years and I think he probably carried out his last flight at the controls in 1979. She was until recently stored on the West Coast of the U.S. She recently moved and is based in Virginia.
Of all the aircraft Bader flew G-APUB has the longest continuous connection with him. I wrote the article about her for Flypast earlier in the year.

I’ve not seen it listed anywhere as surviving. Will do some research when I get home.
