I wrote a letter to the Imperial War Museum many, many years ago whilst still at school, with hand drawn aircraft wreckage items that I wanted identifying and had a reply from Noble Frankland himself, he congratulated me on my drawings, said they were much better than they usually get, well chuffed!………..still got letter somewhere.

A great historian of the RAF.
