Now that images are back, I chose a photo at random and decided to post it. With this I’m imagining a hot summer’s day with blue skies at Kemble and that soon, I’ll be able to jump into a Tiger for a good blow. 😎
Takes you away from a dreary February day!

Tiger Moths in Norway-that is real devotion! The rear cockpit is the worst, and a non-standard screen is needed make it bearable.
The cosiest open-cockpit machine I have tried is the Jungmann, which is roasty-toasty in the front.

Funny how it works out isn’t it? Last year, I booked a slot pretty much every weekend from end of December to end of March, and had every one scrubbed. This year I haven’t bothered, so I’m just hoping the weather’s good for a checkout in a couple of weeks time. After which it’s another summer of East Anglian chugging. 🙂

I started my PPL in August and have got more hours in in the last two months than all the rest put together.

I don’t know why everyone complains about the winter and only flies in the summer, I flew about 40 hours in January and most of the time the weather was great. Dead smooth, unlimited visibilty and some stunning sunsets to watch from 4000 feet.

Happy days- looks like the PFA rally 2003 (Phew, what a scorcher!) Last years was a bit fresher, cold and horrible actually.
Nice Tiger, but BROWN? Funny to think that someone maybe sat down with a colour chart, and rejected all other options…for brown. At least nobody makes brown cars anymore. Tigers should be maroon, or blue, or occasionally green. With silver wings.

It can’t come soon enough. I’ve had a crap winter and I just want to get out in the warm weather and look at aeroplanes again!
